Class Descriptions

  • Pre-Requisite: None

    New to pole? This is the class for you! You'll learn the foundations of pole dance, including grip technique, two-handed spins, pole sits, basic flow, and floorwork. You'll also work on conditioning for holding your weight and climbing. 

    Creative cueing will help you learn safe technique, muscle engagement, and body awareness. Then we’ll tie the moves together in a short flowy choreography, customized for different bodies, goals, and levels of movement experience. Expect personalized feedback and enthusiastic encouragement as you learn to do really cool things. Get ready to connect with your body, surprise yourself with the amazing things you can do, and have a whole lot of fun! No prior experience necessary.

  • Pre-Requisite: Inversion Preparation Crunch on the Floor, Pole Sit, Beginner Two-Handed Spins

    Pole Level 1 builds upon Pole Foundations and introduces inverting. You'll learn advanced two-handed spins, one-handed spins, basic climbing, and beginner level skills such as the genie, jasmine, and figurehead. You'll also work on inverting technique from the ground and conditioning to help you climb to the top of the pole.

  • Pre-Requisite: Climb to the Top of the Pole, Jasmine, Genie, Crucifix, Straddle Invert, Outside Leg Hang

    Pole Level 2 is for folks who are comfortable with their straddle invert. In this class, you'll learn intermediate pole tricks including the butterfly and superman. You'll also work on sequencing skills into longer combinations.

  • Pre-Requisite: Apprentice, Brass Monkey, Extended Butterfly, Superman, Flatline

    For the high-intermediate student, Pole Level 3 focuses on learning longer sequences and moves like the ayesha and handspring. Students will also become more comfortable with shoulder mounts and aerial inverts.

  • Pre-Requisite: Ayesha, Aerial Shoulder Mount, Handstand, Handspring

    For the advanced student, Pole Level 4 provides advanced conditioning, skills, and sequences. Expect combos with shoulder mount variations, reverse grabs, handsprings, ayeshas, advanced splits, and flips.

  • Pre-Requisite: Two-Handed Static Spins, Climb to the Top of the Pole on Static. Students should be in Pole Level 1 or 2 to attend this class. This class is not suitable for those at the Pole Foundations level.

    For the high-beginner student, this class will introduce beginner skills on spin. You'll also learn how to elegantly sequence skills from one move to the next. Students must be comfortable with static two-handed spins and should be able to climb to the top of the pole on static to attend this class.

  • Pre-Requisite: None

    Want to start learning pole heels choreography but don't know where to begin? This class will teach you the foundations of pole heels work and erotic movement to prepare you for choreography classes. You'll also learn basic floorwork and will work on conditioning to build ankle strength. Kneepads are required.

    Pole heels are encouraged but not required. In this class, we discuss the anatomy of the pole heel, different types of heels available, and where you can purchase them.

  • Pre-Requisite: Comfortable in Heel Basics.

    Ready to elevate your heels movement and take it to the next level? In this class, you'll learn pole heels dance choreography, transitions, dynamic tricks, and erotic flow. Designed for high intermediate to advanced students, this class is perfect for those who are comfortable dancing in heels and eager to refine their skills.

    The class features rotating instructors, offering you the chance to experience diverse heel styles and techniques. Knee pads and proper pole heels are required. No street heels allowed.

    Ever dreamt of shutting off your brain and flowing on the pole with total ease? Welcome to Pole Play – a class designed to prioritize self-expression over impressiveness. Dive into the world of bodily sensations, emotions, and thought patterns with guided prompts and techniques that help you shed self-consciousness, letting your body take the lead. This class is all about being aware of your body without judgment, discovering your unique dance style, and embracing the quirks that make your freestyles uniquely yours.

    Freestyle isn't just about moves and tricks; it's a skill of its own that takes time to learn, but fear not—it's never too early to start. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just starting out, Pole Play is open to all levels. While at least one prior Intro class is recommended, the real prerequisite is a desire to express yourself freely. Join us on the pole, where imperfection is celebrated. Let's play!

    This class is every other week, alternating times with Queer Pole.

  • Pre-Requisite: Two Pole Level 1 Classes

    Low Flow is all about moving seamlessly around the base of the pole. In this class, you'll learn fluid transitions while sequencing moves into short choreography. You’ll also work on drills to help improve and discover your unique flow such as weight shifting, momentum, and opposition. The goal is to help you achieve an effortless, yet powerful flow.

    The choreography for this class is primarily contemporary in style and does not involve heels. This class is appropriate for the beginner to advanced pole dancer. It is not recommend if you are at the Pole Foundations level.

  • Pre-Requisite: At least 1 prior Pole Foundations or Heels Foundations class is recommended.

    Celebrating pole’s roots in strip clubs, this class emphasizes sexual expression through a queer lens. Filthy Flow offers a balance of technique and guided freestyle exploration, designed to empower your inner slut! Expect shameless sex-positive, gender-expansive cueing and prompts to help you embody your unique sexiness.

    Filthy Flow aims to provide tools to soothe self-consciousness and help you enjoy basking in the erotic pleasure of movement. We will break down techniques and muscle engagement for juicy body waves, floor fuckery, and suggestive sequences.

    Feel free to dress in a way that delights your inner slut, whether that’s fishnets or sweats. Kneepads are required. Pole heels are optional. If you’ve never danced in pole heels before, we recommend starting with Heels Foundations before wearing heels in Filthy Flow.

  • Pre-Requisite: Pirouette, Dip, Back Hook Spin, Fan Kick

    Step into the sultry world of Trip Drip, where we elevate your flow and teach you to command attention with every move. Designed for high beginner to intermediate dancers, this class is all about exploring trippy leg work, floor sequences, and base work.

    You’ll learn how to:

    • Enhance your flow with captivating variations of body cascades.

    • Perfect trippy leg work, creating hypnotic patterns textures and beautiful heel ‘jellyfishing’.

    • Seamlessly integrate floor work, base work, and mid-pole for a dynamic & hypnotic performance.

    This class will help you refine your style and build confidence whether you’re in heels or dancing barefoot. The focus is on not only mastering technique but also on learning how to captivate an audience with intention and artistry.

    What to wear: This class will encourage a supportive environment for you to wear what makes you feel empowered, sensual, and confident. Class instruction will be demonstrated in pole heels. 8” inch heels and up are recommended.

    This drop-in twerk class is all about embodiment & energy flow—no choreography, no expectations, just pure movement designed to activate your root & sacral chakras. Shake off stagnation, reconnect with your power, and let your body lead.

    All levels welcome!

  • Pre-Requisite: None

    This class provides flexibility and mobility training that will help you both on and off the pole. All levels are welcome! We will work on active and passive stretching techniques including drills that you can work on at home. Modifications will be given for different levels. This is not an aerial pole class, but we will use the pole on occasion to assist with stretching.

  • Pre-Requisite: None

    This class provides essential cross-training exercises so you can build strength to meet your pole goals. Incorporating exercises with and without the pole, you'll learn workouts you can complete at home and in the gym. All levels are welcome, and no prior experience is required!

  • Barre is a fun and grounding form of movement that focuses on strengthening muscles and increasing flexibility with high repetition rhythm-based exercises. Barre movements are rooted in ballet, pilates, strength training, and physical therapy techniques. The majority of Barre exercises are done with body weight and a ballet barre, with occasional assistance from small weights and other exercise tools like bands and balls.

    Barre classes combine compound and accessory movements to strengthen supporting muscle groups along with the major ones, while maximizing flexibility. This makes barre an excellent form of cross training for pole! Barre is a beginner friendly class that is open to all movement experience levels.

    Barre classes taught by Aries are free of judgment and expectation, and will focus on feeling good in your body and having fun while moving.

  • Pre-Requisite: None

    Pole Foundations Progressive is structured, 6-week pole course for those with no pole experience. Each week builds upon the previous lesson, focusing on entry-level spins and conditioning for inverts to help you advance more quickly to Pole Level 1. This course meets once a week for 6 weeks and ends with a mini routine. 

    You have one makeup class throughout the duration of the course.

  • Pre-Requisite: Pole Sit, Fan Kick, Inversion Preparation from the Floor, Beginner Two-Handed Spins

    Pole Level 1 Progressive builds on Pole Foundations, providing a structured pole course for those looking to advance to the intermediate level. Over the course of 6 weeks, you'll work on climbing, inverting technique, spins with two-points of contact, and knee pit moves.

    This course meets once a week for 6 weeks and ends with a mini routine. 

  • Pre-Requisite: Two Pole Classes of Any Type

    Open pole is a non-instructional session where you can work on skills in the studio. Sessions will be supervised by an instructor. All levels may attend, but students must have attended at least 2 pole classes of any type.
